The Learning Standards

Below is a list of all curricular resources that we use in D10. These resources are aligned to the Illinois State Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. For more information regarding the standards please visit the below link.

Math - K - 5

Bridges in Mathematics is a comprehensive PK–5 curriculum that equips teachers to fully implement the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics in a manner that is rigorous, coherent, engaging, and accessible to all learners.

The curriculum focuses on developing students’ deep understandings of mathematical concepts, proficiency with key skills, and ability to solve complex and novel problems. Bridges blends direct instruction, structured investigation, and open exploration. It taps into the intelligence and strengths of all students by presenting material that is as linguistically, visually, and kinesthetically rich as it is mathematically powerful

Math - 6-8

Into Math provides flexible instructional options—print, digital, or both—to suit teachers’ styles, resources, and student needs. Embedded assessments help teachers monitor and accelerate student growth with precise data. The program offers targeted differentiation strategies across various formats to support students effectively. It promotes a growth mindset and social-emotional learning by encouraging a positive attitude towards math and giving students tools to track their own progress. Collaborative activities are integrated into the curriculum to foster teamwork and mathematical discussion. Into Math provides students with multiple pathways to provide support or offer an accelerated track. Our goal is to provide students with an opportunity to be Algebra ready by Eighth Grade.

Social Studies K-8

TCI’s standards-aligned social studies curriculum meets the criteria for national frameworks such as the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English Language Arts and Literacy. It also aligns with state standards across the United States. TCI’s programs are designed with one primary goal: to help students master the essential skills and knowledge. To this end, every unit includes primary sources and activities to make the lessons more inquiry-based and to help your students develop critical-thinking skills.
