Welcome to the Department of Teaching and Learning for Itasca School District 10. We are committed to ensuring all students in Itasca District 10 have access to engaging, meaningful, and high-quality learning experiences that inspire curiosity, foster growth, and prepare students for success in an ever-changing world.

Our goal is to provide a rigorous, student-centered curriculum that empowers every learner to develop the knowledge, skills, character, and confidence needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe every student can achieve at high levels when provided with engaging instruction, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to think critically, collaborate, create, and solve authentic problems.

In Itasca District 10, teaching and learning are guided by clear learning goals aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards and grounded in research-based instructional practices. Our educators design learning experiences with purposeful outcomes in mind, helping students understand what they are learning, why it matters, and how they can demonstrate their growth. We value the unique strengths, interests, and needs of every learner.
